Walk-in-interview for ONE temporary post of RESEARCH SCIENTIST on purely contractual basis (for a period of six months likely to be extended further based on candidates satisfactory performance, review and the project/Centre’s requirements) will be held on 20^th February, 2014.Only Indian Nationals are eligible to apply.

24,000 + HRA	First Class M. Sc. in  Soil Science/ Agronomy with knowledge of Remote Sensing and GIS      or First Class Master degree in Remote Sensing and GIS with specialization in Agriculture and Soils 2. At least one year experience in similar field	1.Preference will be given to candidates with (a)     Ph D in Soil Science/ Agronomy/Remote Sensing and GIS with specialization in Agriculture and Soils   and/or(b)     Experience in application of Remote Sensing & GIS in Soil Science and/or modeling. 2. A good record in writing project reports/scientific papers. 3. Proficiency in Arc-GIS  and ERDAS Imagine 4. Experience in chemical analysis of soils 5. Proven ability to think independently and work collaboratively as part of the team.
